My Racquet Ratings

My name is Bruce , and I'm a racquetaholic

I can't even remember how I got this habit of accumulating racquets, but I have 20+ now, and it's getting out of control. I know some people have hundreds, so it's nice to know I'm not alone.

I thought I might as well start a blog about them, because I myself am always pleased to read other's opinions about a racquet's characteristics.

Prince EXO3 Graphite 100

Well here we are, another year, and yet another Prince. At least I am cutting down on my racquet addiction, at the risk of getting boring. However I am really liking my Prince Tour 100 16x19, to the extent where my other racquets now feel a bit stiff, so this is a candidate for backup #1.

If you look back at the Prince 730 and the Tour NXG the lineage is clear. With a 19mm beam this should have plenty of control, and it does, along with plenty of flex (i'd guess a stiffness rating of under 60) and plough-thru. Like the Tour 100, it comes stock with a neutral balanced that feels head-heavy and I added 10gm under the butt cap for an all-up strung weight of 12.2oz and slightly head-light balance and it felt very good.

This is nothing like the NXG, it has easy power which you have to watch if hitting flat while still being what I would consider a control stick, if that makes sense, because that flex tells you more about what the racquet is doing. At the same time, it is quite damped and arm-friendly. It definitely makes my Ntour seem harsh by comparison.
